What BCACHC does for members
Our goal is to support the needs of existing and aspiring Community Health Centres (CHCs) and to create initiatives to engage, support, and advocate for our members. We support CHCs through consulting, communications and evaluation capacity, shared services, networking, and educational events.
We are currently expanding and refining our service offerings, and we encourage prospective members to subscribe to our newsletter for updates about new opportunities. BCACHC also serves members with direct advocacy at decision-making tables, particularly as CHCs are integrated within Primary Care Networks.
Supporting CHCs
Community Health Centres individually in BC feel so small compared to the huge public system, but we do so much in our communities. BCACHC enables STEPS to be heard and represented at the provincial level, provides connection and support from other CHCs with learning opportunities, and supports us at a local level to successfully integrate and navigate the existing public health system.

Support for Emerging CHCs
We have created a CHC starter kit for communities interested in exploring the CHC model to address their health and other care provision needs. This guide walks community members through the common steps to create a Community Health Centre in BC, including information and resources to help with a service model, governance structure and other operational aspects of CHCs.
